Increase in Violence!

I recently read an article in Current Science about elephants and how at one time they were pretty docile creatures, now they are showing signs of increased violence. They believe that baby elephants are being exposed to violence (for example one baby elephant was tied to it’s mother after she was killed and then had to watch as she was cut up into pieces). This baby elephant is now showing signs of violence as an adult elephant. They also mentioned that the dissolving of family and herds is affecting their behavior. I found this to be so interesting as it coincides with an increase in violence in our own human population for probably similar reasons. Violence is everywhere. Kids are carrying weapons to school, movies are so violent, even TV (just watch the news). Although they have banned Bible reading and prayer in school, (as if the 10 commandments may hurt someone), continual violence, pornography, sexual promiscuity, and foul language grows rampant in our society. The family unit is almost extinct, as we once knew it. People who enter into marriage (only about 50% of young women are even considering marriage as an option) do so with the knowledge that there is always an easy way out. What happened to divorce is bad and working at a marriage. I know there are times when it just cannot work but people are not even trying. What will become of our society if a change is not made soon?
