Ask The Nurse Lady A Question!
Aging Parents
Iv’e just recently realized that my father is getting old. Up to this point he always seemed lively and I never thought about him dying. He can not walk as fast as he used to and he definitely is not as stable. When he washes dishes for me he leaves half of the food still on the plate. He can not hear but insisits that he can. He has some annoying habits like sing songing every place we go by while we wre driving or cleaning under is dentures with his tongue while his dentures are almost falling out of his mouth. Despite all these things I love him dearly and hope he lives to be 100 at least. It’s not easy warching your parents grow old just like it’s not easy to watch your children grow up. I believe we dislike these inevidable parts of life partially because we would like time to stand still for a while so we can enjoy the good years and also because if are parents are getting old and our children are growing up we too are getting older. Enjoy your parents while you can!
